Costa Rica Entertainment – If you want to have some fun without leaving San Jose just head to Parque de Diversiones, where a new attraction has opened.
It’s called Splash Caribe. It’s a daring water ride.
The attraction is in the lake that used to have paddle-boats. It is said to be fun to watch and even better to ride. Another option is to enjoy the splash from the bridge as the boats pass.
Splash Caribe has two boats with a capacity of 20 people. It’s slope reaches 20 meters and it includes a sharp drop at 55 kph ending in a pool. Those on the ride get completely soaked in three minutes.
The ride is appropriate for the whole family as it is of medium intensity. The minimum height is 90 centimeters. The attraction is included in the special pass worth ¢7.800 or you can buy three ¢750 tickets for just the one ride.
Another activity at the park is the New Year’s celebration on January 1st. There will be concerts, kids activities and fireworks for just ¢1,000.
