The Pacific provides Costa Rica’s most consistently exciting fishing, with regularly caught sailfish, marlin, tuna, wahoo, roosterfish, mackerel, mahi mahi, and snapper.
Abundance of billfish has made that area famous, where experienced anglers return with reports of phenomenal catches of sailfish and marlin.
There are plenty of ports from which you can go out on your Costa Rica Fishing Vacation in the Pacific. In the northwest province of Guanacaste, charter boats work out of Coco, Ocotal, Flamingo, Tamarindo and Carrillo.
Further south, you can fish out of Puntarenas, Tambor, Leona Point, Quepos and Manuel Antonio, Los Sueños Marine Resort in Herradura Beach, Dominical, Drake Bay, Golfito and Zancudo.
