Costa Rican police have seized 560 kilograms of cocaine on board a truck cattle, the Ministry of Public Security said in a statement on Tuesday.
The drug load was found hidden in a bundle of hay in the truck that was driven by a Costa Rican national, and intervention was directed towards the border with Nicaragua at the time the police. The driver led and $ 2,100 in cash and two mobile phones.
The police said the seizure was released late Monday night in La Cruz village in the province of Guanacaste some 190 kilometers northwest of the capital San Jose.
This is the second consignment of drugs in Costa Rica in less than seven days, seize and follows the seizure last week of 378 kilograms of cocaine that was hidden in a false bottom of a truck in Miramar de Puntarenas, about 80 miles west of San Jose.
