Playa y Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio

The Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT) last day announced that Manuel Antonio was named one of the world’s most beautiful national parks of Forbes Magazine.

The ranking was published with the entry of Matt Villaro, Outdoors expert DiscoverAmerica.com and Jack eZone, a national park expert and president developed the Ovation holiday, a luxury travel company. Of the twelve parks that make this prestigious list, the Manuel Antonio National Park was the only from Central America.

Nestled in Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, south of the town of Quepos, is this little biological peninsula part of the Central Pacific Conservation Area and the perfect place to spot white face and squirrel monkeys, a variety of birds and two and three-toed sloths, plus a large number of other creatures and organisms.

The timing of this recognition is clearly important as the very last week marked the annual celebration of National Park System. Since 1984, National Park Date was established on August 24 and reinforced the countrys ongoing commitment to sustainability. Costa Rica is home to five percent of the world’s biodiversity and 26 percent of its territory is protected land, which includes 28 national parks._x000D_ _x000D_ More information:
