Let’s go to Puntarenas city!

With flavor to Puntarenas is one of the activities of “Un Canto a la Libertad”, an event that brings together art, culture, gastronomy and local music to Puntarenas.

Enjoy free activities this Saturday November 9 starting at 10:00 am with the inauguration of the photographic exhibition “San Lucas: Stories and fragments”, in the Capitanía de Puerto.

Then, starting at 1:00 pm, in the Plaza del Pacífico, you have to get on one of the buses that will be touring the city, stopping by the 15 participating restaurants. You can get on and off as many times as you want from the buses, and in each restaurant you will find an appetizer at ¢1000 and a special dish with drink at ¢5000. You will also learn facts and stories about important buildings and restaurants while moving around the Port.

Participating restaurants are Isla Cocos, Aldea, Manglamar, Maes Grill, Shrimp Shack, Chung San Bistro, Puntarenas Typical Food, Josefina Restaurante, Delicias del Puerto, Doyamar Vianda, Marisquería Pata Larga, Lunarrosa, Malibú Praia Nova, La Takería and El Jorón.

Finally, at 6:00 pm, we will remember Gilberto Hernández, one of Costa Rica’s great bolero singers, in “Remembering my Port”, a concert performed by the Lubín Barahona Orchestra. The stage will be adjacent to Lobo Park, on the Paseo de los Turistas.

Great! We hope you visit us to learn, eat and dance this Saturday, November 9 in the city of Puntarenas.
