The Executive Director of Sinac, Rafael Gutiérrez Rojas said the project seeks for the opportunity to discuss tourism in the protected areas, improve infrastructure and access for visitors to theses areas.

As an acknowledgement of the 41 years of Manuel Antonio there was an endorsed contract with the national park and the company responsible for carrying out the reconstruction of the eight paths. All areas will be operated individually and by sector.

The idea is that the park continues to be the most visited in the country. The warm aqua color water and white sand make the beach at the national park a special place in Costa Rica. It is located on the Pacific coast and has been listed by publications like Forbes as one of the most beautiful national parks in the world.

The park will remain open to the public during the restoration. It will not interrupt visitor’s access to local attractions. They may also enjoy lectures by various public institutions present in the canton of Aguirre.
