Costa Rica News – The Pacific beaches become campsites over Easter week. It seems most families leave the city and most prefer to have a fun filled yet economical vacation like camping right on the beach.

Thousands of groups show up at the various beaches ready to enjoy nearly a whole week of sun.

Many, if not most, try to bring just about everything from home.

They come with water, food, cooking equipment, tents, awnings, and even tables and chairs.

Locals complain that all of the shops and restaurants and even people walking around selling water bottles treat everyone as rich tourists from other countries.

The sad thing is that most people don’t clean up after themselves. Jaco and Puntarenas are covered in plastic trash like plates and utensils.

The municipalities are passing by daily to collect trash.
